This was the annual day after Thanksgiving hike that is offered by both the Murfreesboro and Highland Rim (Tullahoma) chapters of the Tennessee Trails Association.
Usually well attended for people who despise the whole Black Friday thing and just want to spend a quality day with friends walking great trails and then......EATING afterwards.
This year we had a little early morning rain which scared a few people off. But, by the time we actually started the hike, the rain had stopped and the sun peeked out from behind the clouds for a while. We had fourteen hikers and two dogs that enjoyed the sometimes sunny sometimes cloudy hike along the Duck River and the Little Duck River that meanders around this historic place.
The rain did stop, yes-----AND THEN..it got cold. But it was still a wonderful time.
