There were seven kayakers on the Center Hill Lake paddle from Johnson Chapel Recreation Area to Fancher Falls. There were few motorboats on the lake and the water was very warm. We had to walk to the falls, but it was worth it. We were going to eat lunch at the Cookeville Boat Dock Marina Restaurant but unfortunately it was closed until the weekend. We had lunch at the Mexican Los Lobos Restaurant in Smithville it was delicious after a long, hot day of paddling across the lake. Paddlers were Jim Barritt from Shelbyville, Joe Campbell, Lydia Campbell, Jane Ellett, Joan Hartvigsen, Sara Pollard and Georgeanne Ross.
