We had four hikers to hike the Bearwaller Gap trail in Carthage. The weather was a little chilly to start but by the time we finished it had warmed up in the 40's. We were not able to set up a shuttle so we started our hike at the Tater Knob Overlook, had lunch at the backcountry campsite and returned to the overlook. We passed an old homestead and there was English ivy covering a lot of the trees. We had nice views of the Cumberland River almost the whole time. Hikers were Jay Brain, Jim Barritt, and Chris Manzione.
