The Murfreesboro chapter enjoyed a nice hike in the asphalt jungle of downtown Nashville. Seven of us walked about 7 miles beginning at the Bicentennial Bells at the Bicentennial Mall and meandered to the capitol, the main library, the new 5th and Broad, took a breather in Union Station and then visited the Parthenon. A great lunch at J. Alexander's on West End was followed by a stretch run through Music Row, Musica and straight down Demonbreun to 4th where we crossed Broadway and made our way back to Farmers Market. After the scare of the thunderstorms subsided we had a wonderful warm, breezy hike on a beautiful Saturday.Hikers were MaryEllen Bennett, Joe Campbell, Jeanne Conatser, Tony Jones, Sara Pollard, John Ruth, and Martina Terrazas.
