We had 9 hikers to brave the cold weather (19 degrees) to start our hike at the Eagle Pass trailhead. We hiked it to the end and had a snack at the Cheatham Dam campground. We saw pelicans, duck hunters collecting their decoys (duck season was ending the next day), a dead armadillo that looked alive until someone poked it with a stick and several frost flowers. We then crossed the road for a walk to the trestle bridge across Sycamore Creek. It was a beautiful sunny day and temps were in the upper 20's when we finished. Hikers were Jay Brain, Jeanne Conatser, Sara Pollard and hikers from the Nashville chapter - Nancy Juodenas, Nancy Lawrence, Debbie Owens, Paulo Smith, Gloria Dale Williams. and from Highland Rim Marietta Poteet.
