We had 9 hikers to hike the 9-mile Virgin Falls loop which was a joint event with the Highland Rim chapter. The hike was led by Marietta Poteet. We met in the parking lot at 9:00 am CT and came off the trail around 2:30 pm CT. We had a short break at Big Laurel Falls and lunch at Virgin Falls. The weather was perfect and lots of water at the falls.
We had two hikers who had never been before (Kathy & Wayne) so they were impressed and especially being able to walk around the top of Virgin Falls. Hikers were: Jay Brain, Joe Campbell, Wayne Drown, Nancy Juodenas, Sara Pollard, Marietta Poteet, Georganne Ross, Kathy Stutts, and Bryan Tauchen.
