We had 6 hikers to hike the Sewanee Perimeter Trail starting from the Memorial Cross. We didn't hike down to Bridal Veil Falls because it hasn't rained in over a week and we knew there would be no water. Instead, we continued on the Perimeter Trail and took the Parallel Trail to make a loop back to the Memorial Cross. We hiked past Otey View and Clara's Point. Because of a communication error J.C. Joined us on the last part of the hike. Hikers were Peggy Harris, Judy Pannick, Sara Pollard, Marietta Poteet, J.C. Saunders and Vicki Wendt.
The spot for Murfreesboro TTA members & friends to come for weekly news updates.

Bridal Veil Falls and Sherwood Forest
We had ten hikers to brave the cold and impending rain due in the area by afternoon. We started at the Bridal Veil Falls trailhead near Lake Cheston in Sewanee, The falls were beautiful and so were all the views. We enjoyed lunch at Elliott Point and took the trail back along the bluff. Our next hike was at Sherwood Forest off Highway 156 but some hikers decided to go home. We met one hiker who was finishing up his hike but then we had the entire trail to ourselves. Hike leader was Sara Pollard and other hikers were: Jay Brain, Charlotte Cain, Joan Hartvigsen, Cheryl Jobe, Joni Perrine, Marietta Poteet, John Ruth, Christy Whittlesea and Wayne Yancey.
