So a few folks got together for a weekday trip and I of course suggested Collins Gulf since they now have bears! My reputation as being bear repellant still holds, unfortunately. Bears were spotted just not they kind I hoped for. There was alot of ice and snow near the creeks which made for some rough walking but the icy waterfalls were quite beautiful and well worth the trip. Suter Falls gave us more than one scare and I am glad we didn't try this trip last week when the snow and ice was heavier as I imagine it may have been completely impassable.
