There were 8 hikers who braved the cold and wet to hike on Saturday. We started our hike on the Sewanee Perimeter trail at the university gates. We had to hike 2/3 of the way on the paved Mountain Goat Trail and then made our way up to the Memorial Cross. It started raining so we decided to hike back on the gravel Tennessee Williams Trail then the Mountain Goat Trail. We then drove to the Sherwood Forest trailhead but by then the rain had stopped but there was a thick fog. Needless to say, we didn't have the beautiful views along the trail but we all enjoyed the hike anyway. Hikers were Ruth Arthurton, Faith Bennett, Joan Hartvigsen, Richard McClure, Scott Pittman, Sara Pollard, Marietta Poteet and Cindy Watson.
