We all enjoyed our Girl's Hiking Weekend in the Smokies. Five Murfreesboro members, one Soddy member and one guest braved the chilly, damp weather to spend Valentine's Weekend hiking GSMNP. We did a total of 29 miles for the weekend hiking Rich Mtn., Spence Field and Russell Field, and Sugarland Mtn. On Saturday we were socked in with fog but it made for a very special hike nonetheless. Clear skies and great views awaited us on Sunday and Monday including great views of the Blanket Mtns. covered in snow! No bears but we did spot a coyote, turkey, chipmunk, and deer.Photo- Mt.
