Thanks to Tony who represented the Murfreesboro TTA at the quarterly board meeting this past Saturday while I was driving home from my hike.
Here is a wrap up of some of the main issues covered.
- The Cumberland Trail Conference was awarded a $1,000 grant to help with a bridge building project at Possum Creek near Soddy Daisy. This project is being tackled during May and June. Check out the CT website for more info. www.cumberlandtrail.org
- Mound Bottom Archaeological Site was awarded a $300 grant to help with a trail building project.
- Forms were distributed to each chapter for use in requesting auction donations for the annual meeting. Each chapter is requested to donate 5 quality items for the Live Auction as well as items for the Silent Auction, Garage Sale and Bake Sale.
- The State Board will have a vacancy in the Treasurer position next year. If you would be interested in filling this position please get in touch with me to discuss the responsibilities.
