CLOUDLAND CANYON, GA., MAY 16TH: Fount and I enjoyed a "Honeymoon Hike" ... just the two of us on the trail. No one else from Murfreesboro came, apparently spooked by the forecast of rain. We didn't see any rain until we were within 15 miles of our house! (Does Fount lead a charmed life or what?) Anyway we visited with the Poteets and their group before the hike, and we passed them once on the trail. The mountain laurel was at its peak, although rain the night before played havoc with the rhododendron. Anna
