VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR OUR TTA YARD SALE !!!
MAY 30th, 8 AM TO 2 PM
1132 West Clark Blvd., Murfreesboro
Don't hesitate any longer! Now is the time to commit to help with the TTA yard sale! Everyone in our chapter is encouraged to help in some way. We need at least 20 volunteers to work the day of the sale. There will be many jobs available . . . everything from setting up and taking down, to clerking, cashiering, errand running, and maybe even catering lunches for the workers. If you can't work the whole day, volunteer for a couple of hours. If you cannot be present the day of the sale there are still ways to help, including cash donations.
Everyone can donate usable items to be sold regardless of personal availability the day of the sale. These items include clothing, household items, garage, pool, garden, and yard items, toys, exercise equipment, tools, hobbies, books, electronics, gadgets, gidgets, and just about anything tangible that humans buy and use. These items need to be delivered to the sale site by 8 AM the morning of the sale, tagged with a price. It is not a scientific process to price or tag these; any reasonable amount and any kind of tag will do just fine. We will reduce the items if necessary to get them sold. (Masking tape is cheap and easy to use on most items.) John Lemon has volunteered some garage storage space, man power, and a truck if you need help in advance getting your items to the sale.
We also need to borrow many tables, clothing display racks, and at least two ice chests for bottled water and soft drinks. Please let Anna know now what you will loan.
This is our only fund raiser for the Murfreesboro Chapter. The proceeds reimburse our expenses for the socials such as the June picnic, the Christmas dinner, and the two hike planning suppers. It also buys supplies such as name tags, business cards, postage, bulletins, brochures, handouts, etc. In addition it allows our chapter to donate money toward the completion of our Cumberland Trail if we vote to do so. Although we used to hold these sales each year this is our first one in at least two years and it is time to replenish our dwindling funds.
Contact Anna Bertram to volunteer yourself and display items, for more information, or to engage John Lemon's pick-up and storage services: abertram@dtccom.net or phone 615-765-5357
