The Accordion Bluff trail, easy to moderate, 7.5 miles, 5 to 6 hours, is through a mature forest of beech and oak with many vistas of beautiful, esoteric Dale Hollow Lake. Bring water and lunch for hike. After the hike, at 4:30, the McFarlin's will have a cookout at their cabin. For anyone wishing to make a weekend of it there are ample campsites available at Willow Grove next to the trailhead.
Carpool will leave from the I-840/US 41 Park and Ride at 7AM. Directions to the trailhead: 40 East to Cookeville, Exit 288 to 111 North, then Exit 294 to Willow Grove & trail head. 294 is only 3 to 4 miles north of Livingston on 111.
