We had 24 Murfreesboro members and over 200 total attendees at the annual meeting in Townsend. This was a GREAT turn out! Everyone I spoke to enjoyed their hikes; the weather was beautiful and there were still colorful leaves in the lower elevations. We raised over $7,000 for the Cumberland Trail: this will completely build one mile of trail! This was accomplished with the proceedes from the event including the live and silent auctions, bake sale and white elephant (rummage) sale. I'll post an exact total once ET chapter announces it.
Thanks to Ann Jacobs, Rad Smith, Nabil Wakid, Ron Dunn and Kathi Reagh who donated various items for the auction and sales. (These folks let me know they were donating...if I forgot someone send me an email so I can recognize you in the next post!)
