We had a great trip to the Tennessee River Gorge area along the Cumberland Trail. Six hikers from Murfreesbro, Nashville, Highland Rim and Soddy Daisy enjoyed a beautiful Saturday and dreary, wet Sunday in the woods. The weather was great on Saturday, a little hazy at the overlooks but the temperature couldn't be beat. We had a good long hike in and nice cool weather while we slept. On Sunday we thought we had it made but alas the rain begin during breakfast and didn't stop even after we made it back to Murfreesboro.
