Mar 13- McKay Hollow Trail, Monte Sano State Park, Huntsville, Alabama, 4.5 miles,Strenuous. Bob Goodwin and Sandra Parker will lead this hike which will include views of the Tennessee Valley, interesting rock formations and, depending on conditions, a waterfall. The trail is in good to fair condition, and very rocky and uneven in some places. There will be a 550 foot elevation drop over ¾ mile and a 600 foot gain in ¾ mile. There will be a park entrance fee of $3 ($1, if 62+ yrs.) After our hike we will have lunch at a local restaurant. Distance from Murfreesboro to Monte Sano State Park is about 90 miles.
