Fount and I enjoyed the wonderful fall weather when we camped with friends a few days at Edgar Evins State Park for the 5th Annual History Hayride. It was nice to see Ruth Ann Henry from the Upper Cumberland TTA Chapter, and her friend Chuck at the hayride. They have been frequent participants on the Murfreesboro TTA Adventure Trips too. The 5th Annual History Hayride was a great success. Our Friends of Edgar Evins State Park raised about $1,200 for the park with this fund raiser. It will go a long way toward replenishing the Friends treasury after buying an electric cart for use by the Camp Hosts on their campground rounds. If you didn't make it there this year you might wish to mark it on your calendar for next October and plan to combine it with hiking at the park. The Cookeville Herald Citizen had good pictorial coverage of some of the 12 characters from the hayride online today (October 19) at: ARTICLE LINK
