We had a total of 10 hikers for the Sunday hike at Cedars of Lebanon State Park. We met at the park office and hiked the .5 mile Cedar Glade Trail. This is a new interpretative loop starting at the park office with signs along the way describing birds, flowers, cedar glades to look for in the area.
Then off to the Hidden Springs trailhead further into the park to begin our hike. Very dry conditions and we saw lots of sinkholes and open cedar glades. It was hot, but we had a nice breeze and the trail was well marked and hardly any elevation change.
Hikers were Martin McCullough, his nephew Laws McCullough and son H.L.; our chapter members Valerie Galan, Judith Rusciolelli, Sara Pollard and husband Steve, Highland Rim member Joan Hartvigsen, Pete Broehl from Upper Cumberland and his daughter Hope Jackson.
