It was a beautiful morning to hike the 6 mile Bearwaller Gap Trail along Center Hill Lake. We left cars at the Tator Knob Overlook and began our hike near the Defeated Creek campground. There were beautiful views of the lake the whole way. We stopped for lunch at the backcountry campsite and then started the uphill climb to finish our hike. We finished the hike at the Tator Knob Overlook with outstanding views of the lake and Cordell Hull Dam. We didn’t encounter anyone on the trail except for a deer. It was a perfect day for a hike though. Hikers were Danielle Harrell and her sweet dog Dusty, Sara Pollard and Jan Safavi.
