If you didn’t attend last weekend’s TTA Annual Meeting at the Dubose Conference Center in Monteagle, you missed a fun weekend. We had 135 to attend – a small group, but a great opportunity to hike with folks from across the state and get to know each other.
A BIG thank you to the following volunteers:
Mona & James Herring – # 1 Volunteers and coming early on Friday - Registration table and getting everything set up. They worked really hard getting the name badges ready and keeping early arrivals at bay.
Geoff & Patty Hull – Registration table and taking care of the “walk ups” and to get the information to the Dubose staff. Everyone appreciated your friendly faces.
Jennifer Zahn – Registration table and taking up meal tickets. She was a big help keeping the money straight!
Tony Jones – putting up the directional TTA yard signs and taking them down. Also taking up meal tickets and leading a Stone Door hike Saturday.
Jan Safavi – designing the conference program, name badges and leading hikes Friday and Sunday.
Bruce Harvey – helping out with the bake sale and keeping it organized.
Nabil Wakid – leading a hike Saturday on the Grundy Forest Day Loop for the annual meeting.
Ron Dunn – Registration table and taking up meal tickets. He also attended the TTA board meeting Sunday which everyone should experience. Members can attend anytime!
Ann Jacobs - processing registrations and making trips to the bank for deposits.
Mary Belle Ginanni – last but not least - Mary Belle was the “floater” who stayed back to take care of things while we were out hiking. She worked registration, took up meal tickets, kept an eye on the bake sale items, and did whatever needed to be done. She kept it all together!
