The original plan was to hike at Cumberland Mountain State Park, but the rain was not going to let up and since Wayne Yancey and I were the only hikers to sign up from Murfreesboro, we decided to join the Highland Rim group and hike the 13 mile Collins West loop. Lora McBride from the Soddy Daisy chapter had signed up too, but was flexible to change the hike to join the Highland Rim chapter as well.
Our hike was cut short at 3 miles because we couldn't cross the Collins River. But the Suter and Horsepound Falls were beautiful and well worth the trip there.
