We had five hikers to hike all the trails on a hot and humid day at Short Springs State Natural Area in Tullahoma. We hiked all the loops going counterclockwise from the trailhead. We took a short break by the cool waters of Machine Falls Creek and posed for a group picture over the Bobo Creek Bridge donated by TVA. Joan Hartvigsen, president of the Friends of Short Springs showed us where an observation deck is to be built to view Machine Falls. Hikers were Joan Hartvigsen, Scott Pittman, Sara Pollard, Margie Schumacher, and Teri Windham.
