Barfield Trail Maintenance

To celebrate National Trails Day every June, we schedule trail maintenance at Barfield Crescent Park. Marta Morgan with the Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation met us under the Wilderness Station pavilion to guide us and supply some tools. There were 6 of us so we divided into 2 groups with plans to meet in the middle on the Marshall Knob Trail.

Jay, Chris and Luke started behind the Wilderness Station and Marta drove Jan, Sara and Anna Lina in the gator to start at the river access. We cut back limbs and cleared growth over the trail. Coming back Anna Lina rode in the truck with Marta and the rest of us piled in the gator with Jay driving. Along the way we saw Cinderella and her photographer. Trail crew were Luke Bosse (new to Murfreesboro), Jay Brain, Anna Lina Buckley, Chris Manzione, Sara Pollard, and Jan Safavi.
