It was a challenging hike along the Cumberland River on the Wilderness Trail near Granville. The signage at the beginning did not lie, but we had beautiful views along the bluff. This trail is not well blazed, and we got off trail a couple of times but we always made our way back. We weren't able to thru hike it as we planned because we searched and couldn't find the trailhead at the end to set up a shuttle. So, we hiked in and turned around halfway after eating lunch. The trail is rocky with steep climbs. We passed numerous rock walls, an old homestead, and shallow stream crossings. Jim led us since he has hiked this trail before, but it was a new adventure for the rest of us. Hikers were Jim Barritt, Jay Brain, Misty Fell, Sheila Miller, and Sara Pollard.
