Four Murfreesboro members and one Soddy Daisy member enjoyed a fairly soggy long weekend in the Smokies. We enjoyed being scampered over by the shelter mice (and in one case squirrel), seeing sweeping views of endless cloud cover and constantly coming out of and back into our rain gear! We did get a few nice views when the clouds broke but were unable to secure a clear sky for either the sunset or sun rise at Mt. LeConte. Even though we were hampered by rain most of the weekend I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else. It is always a fun time when you go into the woods with a few good friends!
