We decided at the August meeting to offer a Fall Hike Series for Beginner's. This is specifically to draw new members to our group. I've had so many people tell me they would like to hike with us but want to wait until it cools down...well now they will have the chance. Thanks to Valerie Galan and Bruce Harvey who volunteered at the meeting to lead beginner's hikes! I've also secured the services of State Naturalist Randy Hedgepath to lead two hikes as well. Tony & I will lead one to Cedars of Lebanon. Ann Jacobs has offered to lead the hike to Radnor Lake in Nashville on Saturday October 24.

Here's what I need from 'Boro members...
1. Print off the "community bulletin" that Tony attached to the blog update email and post it EVERYWHERE! Your church, barber, work place, school, grocery store...anywhere you can.
2. Join in the hikes. I need our members to attend these hikes so we can help answer questions, show newcomers what sort of gear we carry, and generally make them feel welcome. You don't have to attend all of them of course but try to come to one or two at least. I particularly need people to come to the hikes Randy Hedgepath is leading. He's helping us out by lending his expertise but WE need to take care of promoting the TTA. We also need to take care of organizing the carpool. If anyone can be at either of his hikes let me know!!!
