Hike Report- Old Stone Fort Beginners& Newcomers

Saturday Sept 5 the Murfreesboro chapter hosted our first of six Beginner's and Newcomer's hikes this fall at Old Stone Fort State Archaeological Park. Tony Jones led the outing and was joined by Tennessee State Naturalist Randy Hedgepath who did a fantastic job "interpreting" the tour for the hikers. Randy identified wildflowers, trees, leaves, and even critter scat with both the common name and the scientific name.
We had five prospective members join in as well as three Highland Rim members. We hope that Jay and Nancy, Danny and Michelle and Bobby all enjoyed their hike with us and will continue to join us on other hikes.
