We have perfect weather for the Snow and Ice Hike at Fall Creek Falls State Park! We have talked with office and Ranger staff at the park, and the TN Highway Patrol this morning. Roads are very passable, with a few icy patches. The park is especially beautiful today with bright sunshine reflecting off fluffy white snow. Please post this on the blog for those last minute decision makers.
The car pool/caravan will meet Saturday at 7:45 a.m. at the Cracker Barrel off Hwy 231 at Church Street, just north of the interstate. Hikers meeting us at the park should be at the Nature Center by 10 a.m.
