I thought this was one of the best TTA annual meetings! Great hikes were planned and the conference center in Townsend is a great venue for our meetings. Approximately 180 participated. From the Murfreesboro area those attending were Sara Pollard, Ann Ford, Linda Strickland and her sister. Friday I hiked trails at Fort Loudon State Park led by State Naturalist Randy Hedgepath. We were joined by members from the Soddy Daisy and Highland Rim chapters.Saturday I hiked Jakes Creek to Jakes Gap with Lora McBride and Bruce Whitehead. Before the hike, we met the Cucumber Gap hikers at the Elkmont Campground for a history tour or the Elkmont summer cabins led by a park ranger. I attended the board meeting Sunday and was unable to hike. Ann Ford, Linda Strickland and her sister hiked the Fort Loudon hike offered again Sunday and led by Randy Hedgepath.
